EPSDT Special Services

The Early and Periodic Screening , Diagnosis and Treatment Program (EPSDT) Special Services provides health care services for children up to age 21 who are enrolled in Medicaid. EPSDT is key to ensuring children and adolescents receive appropriate developmental services. These special services include: occupational, physical and speech therapy based upon the child’s need. Services may be provided to children helping them with developmental delays, speech delays, sensory issues, autism, cerebral palsy and many other conditions. Services can be provided in family members’ homes or community setting.
